Indonesia Mobile Subscribers
Indonesia, with a population of over 234 million people and its labor force of over 100 million people, presents a vibrant market for consumer electronic devices such as mobile phones, televisions, radios, and cameras.
Fixed line teledensity was just under 4% at the end of 2003 and mobile penetration was over 8% in beginning of 2004.
CDMA based wireless local loop WLL technology is playing a major role in the cellular market in Indonesia, with most of the operators deploying CDMA services.

Vietnam Mobile Subscribers
Vietnam's mobile penetration is currently only just about 4%.
We expect that Vietnam's mobile subscribers, a county with 81 million people will grow, by 35% in the next 14 months. Reductions in mobile pricing plans and handsets are key factors in the growth, as well as the growing economy and consumer purchasing power.
The government is aggressively seeking the the continued growth of mobile networks, especially expansion of network coverage to the poorer provinces.
Mobile phone manufacturer Samsung has stated that Vietnam is the fastest-growing market for its products and services...sales have increased over 40% year on year. There is significant competition from all major handset manufacturers - Samsung, Siemens, Nokia and Motorola.
CDMA cellular service in Vietnam is going to be significant with SK Telecom providing the technological expertise and Samsung and LG Electronics providing the marketing muscle.
